A Debian é uma organização que tem como marca a recusa da democracia, em favor da meritocracia. A pesquisa tenta entender como essa meritocracia funciona. The antropologia.codigolivre.org.br project has the intent of building a new collaborative space of research development in the field of social sciences in a first instance for studies about the Free Software Community, but other research fields will have space also.

Result of a 2-years etnography, this research has the objective of understanding the managing processes inside Debian. Debian is an organization which has, as a fundamental characteristic, been refusing democracy in favor of merithocracy. This research tries to understand how this merithocracy works.
